Kelsey Plum named to WNBA All-Rookie Team


San Antonio Stars guard Kelsey Plum has been named to the 2017 WNBA All-Rookie Team, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Plum led all rookies in assists with 3.4 per game and had the highest free throw percentage at 87 percent to go along with her 8.5 points per game. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft scored a career-high 23 points against the Seattle Storm on August 5.

There was a three way tie in votes as Plum, Allisha Gray, and Brittney Sykes all had 11 votes.

Other names on the All-Rookie list include WNBA Rookie of the Year Allisha Gray of the Dallas Wings,  Atlanta Dream guard Brittney Sykes, Dallas guard Kaela Davis, and Washington Mystics guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
