The San Antonio Stars look to rebound from a tough loss as they take on the Atlanta Dream. The Stars have shown signs of improvement as of late, but are coming off a tough 94-74 loss to the Chicago Sky. The Dream have been spiraling as of late, and are in danger of missing the playoffs. These teams have met twice this season, with the Dream winning both times. Here are three things to watch.

Can the Stars control the Dream’s pace?
Atlanta loves to run, and will take every opportunity available to do so. Therefore, the Stars must control their turnovers to limit chances in transition. San Antonio must also take smart shots offensively, as the Dream will try to run after misses as well. Slowing Atlanta down by forcing them to play a halfcourt game could be in the gameplan.
However, the Stars may try to give the Dream a taste of their own medicine. Forcing them into turnovers and bad decisions will open opportunities for the Stars in transition.
Who will provide the offense?
A recurring theme this season has been a lack of offensive production. Kayla McBride and Isabelle Harrison typically lead the charge offensively, but at times they struggle to produce. In the loss to Chicago, Dearica Hamby came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points. With this being said, several players will have to produce for the team to have a legitimate chance to win.
Can the Stars play a consistent 40 minutes?
At times, the Silver and Black have struggled to put a complete game together. Many of the losses were due to poor showings in the second half. In the last game against Atlanta, San Antonio had a stellar first half. Unfortunately, they fizzled after halftime, and the Dream outscored them 23-12 in the third quarter.
In order to prevent a season sweep, the Stars need to be consistent on both ends for the entire game. If they are able to do this, a win is extremely possible.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT from the AT&T Center.
