If you’re a sports gamer and a WNBA fan like I am, you’ve long waited for one of the top basketball sim makers like EA Sports or 2K Sports to either make a WNBA game or include the WNBA in one of their games.
Thanks to EA Sports, your wait is just about over, as they announced today that full WNBA rosters will appear in their upcoming NBA Live 18 title.
Today, Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) announced that WNBA teams and players* will be playable in NBA LIVE 18, launching this fall on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. The WNBA will be available in WNBA Play Now, and teams and player skills have been specifically balanced to reflect the unique playstyle of the league and skills of its players. This is the first time the official WNBA’s roster of teams and players will appear in a video game, and will be available only in NBA LIVE 18.
A few San Antonio Stars players have already been included in screenshots, and apparently, Stars rookie guard Kesley Plum was motion captured for the upcoming release.
Plum tweeted earlier today that she was excited about the release.
I'm so excited about this 😍😩😈😈 https://t.co/GrvNtJDDKK
