The San Antonio Stars fell 73-59 in their preseason finale to the defending WNBA champion Los Angeles Sparks inside Pasadena College on Saturday night.

Isabelle Harrison was the lone player in double figures for the Stars with 22 points. San Antonio was without stars Kayla McBride and Moriah Jefferson due to overseas commitments. Head Coach Vickie Johnson decided to not play her regulars such as Dearica Hamby and instead looked players on training camp contracts.

Los Angeles was led by Mikela Ruff’s 18 points. The Sparks were without Candace Parker, who also had overseas commitments.

The Stars finish the preseason 1-1.

The Stars will open the 2017 regular season next Saturday at 2 p.m. against the New York Liberty inside Madison Square Garden.
