Another week is gone in the WNBA season and it saw the San Antonio Stars finish with a record of 1-2 through three games. The silver and black won their lone home game before dropping two road contests, leaving the Stars looking for their first road win of the season.
San Antonio began the week with a 70-63 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, July 8. Danielle Robinson finished with 22 points and eight assists as the Stars got their third straight home win.
However, the Stars have struggled on the road this season and that trend has continued. As the team began a three-game road trip, they dropped their first two. First, was a 83-76 loss last Friday to the Indiana Fever. ophia Young-Malcolm scored a season-high 27 points for San Antonio in the loss as the Stars rallied back from a eight point deficit.
The Minnesota Lynx would be the latest team to hand the silver and black their latest defeat. The Stars struggled on offense all game long, scoring just six points in the first quarter. Despite picking up their play, San Antonio could not recover as they fell 66-49.
The Stars will have just two games this week as they take on the New York Liberty and Tulsa Shock.
