The San Antonio Stars currently stand third of six teams in the WNBA’s Western Conference. This same rhythm of mediocrity, however, has not been seen from Stars Guard Danielle Robinson. Making her second consecutive appearance in the All-Star game via votes from league coaches, Robinson’s prowess has gathered the respect of coaches and teammates alike.

The Stars’ standout averages a team high of 13.4 points per game, an increase from the 2013 season, and shows no signs of relenting her positive trend. San Antonio has made great use of her crunch-time finesse this season, most recently seen in the team’s June 22 win against the Los Angeles Sparks when Robinson made a driving layup that put the Stars up 72-69 with 8.4 seconds remaining in the game.

Robinson’s passing and scoring strengths have made her vital to the success of the San Antonio Stars, and her role in last year’s All-Star game served to bring a 92-89 win against the Eastern Conference All-Stars.

In her first All-Star appearance last year, the former Oklahoma Sooner scored just two points in 15 minutes off the bench for the West All-Stars.

Robinson will take the court at 3:30 p.m. this Saturday for the All-Star game which will be nationally televised by ESPN.
